The aim. To evaluate intensity of lipid peroxidation and content of antioxidative factors in the isolated brain perfused with a solution without oxygen carriers. Methods. We used an original model of in situ rat brain perfusion using a solution with a high oxygen tension. Neither O₂ carriers nor a barometric chamber were used, i.e., the brain was perfused under normal external barometric pressure. Results.
